To say this home is unusual is an understatement. A custom built home back in the 1970's, this home has aggressively peaked ceilings, cat walks, a wall of stone for the fireplace, among other quirky architectural features. All features that the homeowners loved, earning the title "The Funky Monkey". The goal was to blend their modern tastes into the architecture of the home. The walls were kept a bright white to keep things feeling light and to contrast with the flat panel, dark minimalist cabinets. The balance between funky and modern really works well here.
