A modern take on farmhouse style for a growing family...
This project was a culmination of creating better function while also maintaining the homeowners very vibrant personality. They had a need to create a much larger kitchen for themselves, kids, and grand-kids, and to keep the overall feel of each adjoining space inclusive to the next. The homeowner had a deep love of color that originally felt like it took over the space. We kept the teal and toned down the yellow to a soft, pale yellow to let the white and teal be the focus. The dark hardwood anchors each room and creates flow. The central island adds much needed counter space while also adding visual texture with the walnut top. Bronze details, grey blue glass tiles, and their own furniture help to really make these new spaces feel like their own.
