A much needed kitchen upgrade, lack of storage, bad lighting, and not enough counter space. This kitchen was due for not just modern upgraded fixtures, but upgraded space! We utilized the large space and designed a floor plan that included a kitchen island. Creating a central gathering area with the island helps keep the bulk of the entertaining space out of the way but still welcome to the kitchen. Cultural inspired tile and grey toned wood paneling on the island add a lot of personality to the room. By opening up the island and updating the floor plan, we were able to create a more functional work surface, introduced more vibrant colors, and brought in a lot more light.
